
Kuwaza Imara, RScP

Kuwaza was born in San Francisco, California. He has been a member of East Bay Church since 1998 and a Licensed Practitioner since 2009. After receiving his AA degree in nursing from Merritt College, he subsequently received his BA in Government/Political Science from Cal State Hayward (now California State University of the East Bay). Kuwaza has been active in the fight for social, economic and gender justice, participating in organizations for Black empowerment, feminist advocacy, and other organizations that supported the rights and empowerment of the LGBTQ community. Kuwaza has three grown children—a daughter and two sons, and two grandsons. He currently lives in Castro Valley.
