
Jaliza Eagles
Jaliza Eagles is a long-standing and devoted member of the East Bay Church of Religious Science, having been part of the community for over 26 years. Deeply shaped by her spiritual home at East Bay, Jaliza is motivated to serve on the Board of Trustees as a way of giving back and contributing to the continued growth and future of the church. With more than 30 years of leadership experience in Bay Area public schools, Jaliza has served as a teacher, grant director, assistant principal, and principal, and currently works as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coordinator. She brings strong skills in collaboration, strategic thinking, and compassionate communication, including training in “Compassionate Dialogue,” which supports building understanding and unity within diverse groups. Jaliza has been an active volunteer at East Bay, serving in Youth and Family Ministries, the Kwanzaa Committee, the Rev. E Scholarship Committee (as Chair for the past three years), and as a member of the choir. She also brings valuable experience in financial stewardship through managing multimillion-dollar grant budgets and school site budgets.
