Constance Slider Pierre is the Organizing Director at The Utility Reform Network (TURN), a public interest law firm specializing in regulatory and legislative energy and telecommunications advocacy on behalf of consumers. With over 20 years of organizing experience, she has expertise managing and directing grassroots community and labor organizing campaigns focused on wages and worker rights, affordable housing, homelessness, environmental justice and related issues affecting lower income communities and people of color. Constance has worked on local and national organizing campaigns with Unite Here, ACORN and with the Democratic Party of Sacramento County managing and operating their 2008 election headquarters that included the history making Obama for America campaign and election. She holds a BA in Broadcast Journalism from San Francisco State University and a MPA from California State University Sacramento. She lives in Oakland, California with her husband and daughter.
