Community Outreach
See the Best of Life
Over the last 10+ years, The Community Outreach Ministry has grown!
We have diversified our services to the community.
Blessing Bags! As of 2020 we have given tens of 1000s of bags out into the Homeless Encampment Communities. Including but not limited to Oakland, Berkeley, Albany, Emeryville, San Leandro, Richmond, and Hayward. We give out: Food Plates, Food Snacks, Water, Socks, Tent Supplies, Blankets, Coats, Clothing and Inspiring Affirmations.
Village of Love! In Partnership with the Temescal Business District, we have hosted 2 Service Fairs for the Community providing: Showers, Hot Food, Clothes, Coats, Shoes and Shelter Resources.
Thanksgiving Day! Each year we host a Thanksgiving Service and Brunch for those who live in the area to provide an opportunity for fellowship and spiritual family bonding. This event takes place Thanksgiving Morning.
Holiday Adoption! In partnership with Laney College and other Local Agencies, The East Bay Church Community adopts 75-100 children for the Christmas Holiday. As a community, we flood the Greater East Bay Community with Toys, Bikes, Books, Clothes, Food and Special Request Items.
Annual Blanket Drive! Each year we collect blankets to give to Homeless- I’d suggest the term “unhoused” instead of homeless individuals during the winter months. We distribute 50-75 blankets in these communities every year. We will do this until there is no longer a need.
We are thankful to everyone who has donated a dish, a gift, and money.
We thank all of you who have donated your time, your service, and your love.
Together, The East Bay Church of Religious Science, Community Outreach Ministry will continue to make a difference in Bay Area communities, one person at a time.
The Community Outreach Ministry is a focused response program. We partner with many organizations in our efforts to serve the larger Bay Area Communities.
