Maxine has been part of the East Bay Church of Religious Science community since the early 1990s, beginning at Preservation Park under the leadership of Rev. Eloise Oliver. Her spiritual journey is rooted in New Thought teachings, including Unity and Science of Mind.

She brings decades of leadership experience across business, banking, nonprofit governance, and organizational development, including senior roles at Pan American World Airways, leadership in banking, and 10 years as the Board President of Richmond Neighborhood Housing Services. She offers a thoughtful perspective grounded in love, inclusion, and financial stewardship.
