Mission Statement

Our mission is to empower inner city youth in our community to reach their goals by providing guidance and positive direction in developing independent living skills to help enrich their experiences. In addition, our mission is to improve self-esteem, social competence and avoidance of high-risk behaviors by providing relationships with caring adults who work to help them to achieve their potential.

Goals and Objectives

  • To create supportive one-on-one relationships and group dynamics
  • To provide job training and skill building for career preparation
  • To support individuals toward the development of their vision for the future
  • To support youth in identifying resources needed to pursue higher education
  • To cultivate effective communication skills
    • Conflict resolution
    • Emotional maturity
  • To increase awareness of civic activities
  • To build a sense of community with emphasis on service
